Three Games to Watch Outside of Chestnut Hill

This might be one of the more boring weeks in football as some schools are either taking a break from big opponents or just easing up right before the conference schedules get going. So, this is kind of a diabolical week of games to watch.

Syracuse at #18 Louisville Saturday, Noon, Gameplan. I'm telling you right now, if the Orange can find a way to put 30 on the Cardinals, I'm selling the Steve Kragthorpe era and Louisville's chances to upset Rutgers or West Virginia.

#15 Clemson at NC State Saturday, Noon, JP Sports. Some of the posters over on one of the BC boards believe that this is a classic TOB game. Overmatched opponent, at home, needing a miracle and a team he has beaten the last two years. I'd be intrigued if this happened, but even if it doesn't, getting a chance to watch those Clemson backs in action with Cullen Harper playing hard will be entertaining.

#22 Georgia at #16 Alabama Saturday, 7:45 p.m., ESPN I think this is interesting for a lot of reasons. I mean, I know the SEC is good, but SC at #12 and then these two puzzle me. I think Bama deserves the ranking, but other than that, I'm not so sure. This game will be a good one, though, because Saban is off on the right foot and Georgia will be looking to break some of that stride. Should be a close one...

  1. Is anyone selling or knows someone who is selling tickets for the BC-Notre Dame game? I will be in Chicago that weekend and would love to go. Go Eagles!
